Knyght Ryder is a live band based in Long Beach, California. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: we use what you send us to answer your booking request or send you show dates, and we don't sell it to anyone.
What we collect
When you request a quote
The booking form asks for things like your name, email, phone number, event type, date, city, venue, guest count and any notes about music or production. We use this to check our availability, put together your quote and plan your event.
When you pick a date, the form asks our calendar whether that date looks open. Only the date is sent for that check.
We also count how far people get in the form (for example, how many see an estimate and how many submit), along with the event type, date and estimate shown. Those counts don't include your name, email or phone number.
When you join the mailing list
We collect your email address, and anything you choose to type in the optional "What song should we learn?" box. We use your email to send show dates and band news, a few times a month at most.
When you browse the site
We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to see how people use the site: which pages get visited, how visitors found us, and roughly where they're browsing from. Google uses cookies and similar technology for this. We don't use the site to run ads that follow you around the internet.
Videos on the site play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which doesn't set YouTube cookies until you press play.
Who else handles it
We use a few services to run the site, and they process information only to provide those services to us:
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Resend delivers booking-form emails to us and sends our mailing list emails.
- Google Workspace holds our email, calendar and the spreadsheet where we track inquiries.
- Formspree receives the form only as a backup if our main form service is down.
- Google Analytics measures site traffic, as described above.
We don't sell, rent or trade your information. If you book us, we may share event details with the sound and production vendors working your event, so they can do their jobs.
How long we keep it
We keep booking inquiries and event details as part of our business records, which helps when you book us again. We keep mailing list addresses until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe any time with the link at the bottom of every mailing list email, or by emailing us.
- Ask to see, correct or delete what we have about you by emailing booking@knyghtryder.com. California residents have these rights under state law, and we extend them to everyone.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works fine without them.
Kids
This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, and we never ask for card numbers through it. If we ever learn of a breach that affects your information, we'll email you promptly.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
