80s cover band, Southern California

Southern California's 80s cover band

Knyght Ryder is a five-piece 80s cover band from Long Beach. We play the songs everybody knows from the 80s, plus the 90s and 2000s hits your crowd will want when the night gets going. Every note is played and sung live.

We have played more than 1,700 shows over 20+ years: 22 dates opening for George Lopez, corporate nights for Toyota, Disneyland and Wells Fargo, and Friday nights at Gaslamp in Long Beach. CBS Los Angeles named us one of the best cover bands in Los Angeles.

Our rates are published, so you can plan before you ever fill out a form. Anywhere within an hour of Long Beach is covered by those rates, which takes in most of Los Angeles and Orange County.

Every guest hears their song

A one-artist show is a great night for that artist's fans. Your guest list is bigger than that. In one night we go from The Smiths to Metallica to Backstreet Boys to Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre: all genres of the 80s, 90s, and 2000s, played live.

The 80s kids get their moment, the 90s kids get theirs, and the dance floor never waits around for a hit that might not come. You tell us the songs you love and the ones to skip. We read the room and steer the rest of the night where the crowd wants to go.

Questions people ask

What 80s songs do you play?

Over 300 songs, from Tainted Love, Come On Eileen and Hungry Like the Wolf to Jessie's Girl, Everybody Wants to Rule the World and Bust a Move. The full list is on our song list page.

Do you only play the 80s?

No. The 80s are the heart of the show, and we play all genres of the 80s, 90s, and 2000s, so every age in the room gets songs they know.

Do you wear 80s costumes?

No wigs. We dress sharp, in black and white, so we fit a wedding or a gala as well as an 80s theme party.

Do you travel outside Los Angeles and Orange County?

Yes. Our published rates cover anywhere within an hour of Long Beach. Beyond that, travel starts at $500. We have played Coronado, Santa Barbara and Palm Springs.

Do you use backing tracks?

No. If you hear a keyboard part or a harmony, someone on stage is playing or singing it.

Can we pick the songs?

Yes. Tell us the songs you really want and the ones you never want to hear, and we write the rest of the set for your crowd. Anything on our song list is free. A new song is $500 to learn.

Will the same band show up?

Yes. The same five musicians at every show. If a sub is ever needed, you approve them first.

Anything else? Ask in the booking form and we'll answer with your quote. Hear us first on the videos page or browse the song list, or come see us live at Gaslamp any Friday night.
